Pete and Somer Dokolas - Owners and Program Director

 ​Somer and her husband, Pete, have been married since 2002. They have two boys, PJ and Anthony. Somer graduated from Pittsburg State University. Her first two years of college were spent in the early education program, she then went on to get her Masters in Social Work from the University of Iowa. She worked five years for DCF, formerly SRS. While at DCF she spent time as a child abuse investigator as well as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor. While working full time, she realized that she wanted to go back to what she loved: being home with her children and teaching other kids. She wanted to help kids gain knowledge and watch them grow. She ran Bizzy Beez out of her home for two years on her own. Pete then decided that he wanted to work with kids as well and left his job to help Somer run the daycare. They ran it together for another four years out of their home. Pete has a Bachelor degree from St. Ambrose in Computer Information Systems. He coached basketball and baseball for 25 years. Their love for children and God pushed them to expand further and in November 2019, they transitioned the daycare to Olathe Christian Church. They are so thankful for the opportunity to expand the daycare further than they could at their home, but they knew they always wanted a place of their own t be able to care for even more children. In the summer of 2024, they were able to get their own place in Olathe and haven't looked back since. When not at the daycare, Pete and Somer are very active in their church at Linn Valley Community Church and are always their to support their boys in al their bowling tournaments.
